Uprise Tournaments · Battle texts for creators and managers
Uprise Tournaments Battle Reminders
Optional battle reminders and matchup updates for creators, plus Requested inbox alerts and matchup updates for managers.
Enrollment is optional. Creator signup is available through a manager or tournament registration form when offered. Managers enroll themselves through Profile → SMS when available. These pages alone do not enroll you or activate texts.
This SMS program is operated by Uprise Tournaments, the creator business at theuprisetalent.com. This page describes the program and its consent options. It does not collect phone numbers or enroll visitors.
About the program
App-managed creator texts start with Uprise One: and manager texts start with Uprise Portal:. These message labels identify the audience within the Uprise Tournaments program. Verification-code wording is managed by the verification provider.
Texts cover battle reminders, changed times or opponents, unconfirmed times and cancellations. They do not include advertising or sales promotions. The program supports SMS-capable United States and Canadian phone numbers.
Message frequency varies. Creators normally receive one reminder 24 hours and another 1 hour before each battle, plus relevant updates or a late-scheduling catch-up reminder. Creator texts may arrive overnight. Managers receive new Requested inbox alerts and event-driven matchup updates, without scheduled countdown reminders. Message and data rates may apply.
Participation is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase. Creators can decline and ask their manager for battle details another way.
Matchup updates for creators and managers
Opted-in creators receive updates when they are assigned a matchup, participants change, a date or time is set or cleared, or they are removed or the matchup is canceled. Updates can include saved draft matchups while registration is open. Texts include a Uprise-hosted link to a public, read-only Scoreboard; anyone with that link can view the shared battle details.
Direct managers can separately choose Profile → SMS → SMS reminders in the Uprise app. They enter their own phone number, accept the separate consent disclosure, and verify a requested code. Successful verification completes that manager signup. Creator consent does not enroll a manager, and manager consent does not enroll a creator.
Manager texts cover new Requested inbox items and matchup changes for directly assigned creators, without scheduled countdown reminders. Inbox review links require sign-in. Manager quiet hours default to 9 PM–9 AM in the selected timezone and can be adjusted or disabled. Changes made close together are combined after one minute; deferred updates reflect the latest details. The matchup’s Battle reminders switch controls creator reminders and creator/manager matchup updates. Requested inbox alerts use the manager’s separate event choice and do not depend on that matchup switch.
How managers agree
When manager text signup is available, sign in to the Uprise Manager Portal and open Profile → SMS → SMS reminders. Texts start off. Choose USA or Canada, enter your own mobile number, confirm your timezone and quiet hours, and select the separate, initially unchecked consent box. The screen links to these SMS terms and privacy policy.
Manager consent disclosure
I agree to receive Uprise Tournaments texts for new Requested inbox items and when my creators’ matchups are assigned, changed, or canceled. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional.
Select Send verification code, then enter the requested code and select Verify and enable. A successful code check completes manager enrollment and saves the preference. It does not activate a paused program. When sending and the Manager welcome template are enabled, a welcome text confirms enrollment before inbox alerts and matchup updates begin. Administrators can disable the welcome independently; other enabled alerts can then follow verified signup. The app records the accepted disclosure/version, consent and verification times, and provider reference; it does not store the code.
A creator’s consent does not subscribe their manager. Shared access, supervisor access, or administrator access alone does not subscribe anyone to a creator’s updates. Matchup updates cover creators the manager directly controls. Inbox alerts cover new items in that manager’s current Requested inbox. Managers can choose which events send texts, turn texts off, adjust quiet hours, remove their number, and view their own text history in Profile → SMS. A replacement number requires new consent and verification. Consent is not required to use the app or manage creators.
The administrator’s Manager SMS switch must be on for new manager texts to send. Personal event choices cannot override it. A new Organizer request and its matching assignment share one manager alert; later matchup changes remain separate updates. Existing Requested items are not sent as a backlog when alerts resume.
View the manager signup screens and step-by-step explanation, or compare the manager message examples. The examples use fictional data and cannot enroll anyone or send texts.
How creators agree
To enroll through a manager, the manager reads the script below, provides the policy links, and waits for a clear affirmative answer before enabling reminders. A supplied number, silence or prior battle participation does not count as agreement. The creator must control the phone number they choose.
After the creator agrees, the manager immediately checks the consent confirmation box. Uprise Tournaments records the authenticated staff member and the time that confirmation is saved automatically. The checkbox records the staff confirmation; it does not replace the creator’s agreement. It does not record the call, a transcript, or a separate date or method entered by the manager.
Tournament registration signup
By providing your own US or Canadian mobile number and submitting a tournament registration, you opt in to automated battle text reminders and schedule updates. The notice directly beneath the phone field explains the program, message frequency, rates, STOP and HELP, and links to these policies. There is no separate creator consent checkbox or verification-code step.
The signup is saved when registration succeeds. Entering a number without submitting does not enroll you. Confirm that the phone number and TikTok username are your own; this signup does not verify phone possession or TikTok ownership. The form uses your device timezone for quiet hours. Existing STOP opt-outs and conflicting saved numbers require resolution before reminders can be enabled. Creators awaiting enrollment need their manager to finish linking their registration. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Public signup cannot replace an existing different phone number or override STOP. Contact your controlling manager for changes. Registration does not schedule a battle or guarantee text delivery.
Verbal consent script
Managers use the following script when offering enrollment. They provide the policy links through an existing communication channel and allow time to review them or ask questions.
Hi, I’m with Uprise Tournaments. Would you like optional automated texts about your planned battles? They cover reminders, time or opponent changes, unconfirmed times and cancellations, not promotions. After you agree, we will send a welcome text confirming enrollment before battle reminders begin.
Message frequency varies with your battles and settings. The default is 24 hours and 1 hour before each battle, plus relevant updates; a late-scheduled battle can receive a catch-up reminder. Texts may arrive overnight. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase.
You can reply STOP to stop texts, START to remove a previous text opt-out, or HELP for assistance. You can also contact admin@theuprisetalent.com. Our SMS privacy notice is at https://uprise-tournaments.onrender.com/sms-privacy.html, and the SMS terms are at https://uprise-tournaments.onrender.com/sms-terms.html.
Do you control the phone number you want us to use, and do you agree to receive Uprise Tournaments Battle Reminders at that number?
If the creator declines or is uncertain, reminders remain off. Staff must not send an unsolicited text merely to request consent.
Stop, rejoin or get help
Reply STOP to opt out. A manager cannot override that choice. Reply START to remove a previous text opt-out; a reminder preference disabled by you or your manager remains off. Valid consent and enabled program settings are still required. Reply HELP for help, or email admin@theuprisetalent.com. Ordinary text replies are not a monitored support conversation.
